Why it was recalled
According to the CPSC notice, the identified hazard is: The recalled picture books are brightly colored, made of flexible vinyl, and contain a plastic mirror on one of the inside pages. The recalled books come in four models: "Baby's Fun Book," "Baby's Photo Album," "Picture This Vinyl Book," and "Carter's Imagination Picture Book." The name "Kids II" is printed on the back cover of each book, except for the "Imagination Picture Book" which has "Carter's" printed on the front and back covers. Hazards: The mirror in the books can crack or break, posing a laceration hazard to young children.
