Why it was recalled
According to the RAPEX notice, the identified hazard is: The insulation between the product’s internal electrical circuits is not sufficient. Moreover, the clearance and creepage distances are not sufficient. A single layer of insulating tape is used to separate the electrical windings, whereas reinforced insulation (three layers) is required to ensure safety. The user could therefore touch accessible live parts and receive an electric shock. Additionally, due to insulation defects, sparks or short circuits may occur, which may lead to fire.
