According to the EU Safety Gate (RAPEX) notice, the identified hazard is: The product represents a serious risk of electric shock given that the sharp edges over which the flex passes may abrade the insulating sheath of the flex, and that the luminaire is not fitted with a sleeve made of resistant and insulating material. Furthermore, the safety instructions that would ensure safe use are absent. This product does not comply with the Low Voltage Directive and the relevant European standard EN 60598.
