Why it was recalled
According to the CPSC notice, the identified hazard is: The recalled fuel is used for outdoor cooking stoves. "MSR® SuperFuel™" is printed on the label and is packaged in red metal cans. "SUPERFUEL, MSR Cleanest-Burning Liquid Fuel for MSR Stoves," and "32 FL OZ/1 Quart/.946 Liter" are printed across the front of the can. This recall includes cans with batch #502-167 printed on the lower back of the can in light black digits. Hazards: A manufacturing defect in the can's seam and an insufficiently applied fuel cap can cause the can to leak fuel, posing a fire hazard.
