Why it was recalled

According to the CPSC notice, the identified hazard is: Powerscourt Sterling Teething Rings, model #WX201. The model number is located on a label on the outside of the gift box, along with "Waterford Fine Silver Gifts." The silver teething ring is about 2.5 inches in diameter, and made of two halves that are soldered together at a sterling silver decorative disc. The teething ring is sold as a keepsake, but also could be used as a teething ring. Waterford® Sterling is embossed on the bottom of the teething ring. Hazards: The area where the teething ring is soldered together contains flux, which can irritate the skin or mouths of young children.
