According to the CPSC notice, the identified hazard is: The recalled Performance Forte Pro Stix Bar Ends are three to four inches in length and attach to the ends of the handlebar. The bar ends are primarily used during hill climbing when mountain biking, as they give a rider added leverage when he/she is off the seat and pedaling up a steep incline. The bar ends were manufactured in Taiwan. Hazards: The bar ends can crack when tightened and come loose during use, which can cause riders to lose control of the bicycle and possibly suffer injuries.
