Why it was recalled
According to the CPSC notice, the identified hazard is: The recalled candles were sold in packages containing eight tea light candles and one glass holder in the shape of a flower. The 1-inch-tall candles were available in either gold or silver. A label affixed to the top of the package containing the recalled candles reads "Luminessence™ candles, 8 T-Lite Candles with Glass Holder, NET WT 3.2 oz (EACH 10G)." The label affixed to the bottom of the package reads, "DOLLAR TREE DIST., CHESAPEAKE, VA 23320, MADE IN CHINA." Hazards: Paint on the exterior surface of the candles can sustain a flame, posing a potential fire hazard.
