Why it was recalled

According to the CPSC notice, the identified hazard is: The "All That Glitters" light and glitter wand is about 9 inches long, and has a gold-colored handle with a clear plastic ball on top filled with a pink liquid and glitter. Pushing on the bottom of the wand illuminates the ball. The wand operates with two AA-batteries. A plastic label on the side of the wand reads, "AA x2." Hazards: The batteries can short-circuit, causing the wands' handles to become very hot and melt the plastic, posing a risk of burn injuries to children.
