According to the RAPEX notice, the identified hazard is: The rate of nickel release is too high (measured values up to 4.58 µg/cm2/week and 2.18 µg/cm2/week for the two models respectively). Nickel is a strong sensitiser and causes allergic reactions if present in articles that come into direct and prolonged contact with the skin.
