Why it was recalled
According to the RAPEX notice, the identified hazard is: The 12 Volt output from the adapter has the standard 230 Volt IEC connection. The charging 12 Volt port is also the standard 230 Volt IEC type. A user could inadvertently plug a 230 Volt mains cable into the 12 volt charging port. This could lead to a short-circuit and overheating of the battery, causing burns, fire or electric shock.The product does not comply with the requirements of the Machinery Directive and the relevant European standard EN 60335-1.
