Why it was recalled

According to the CPSC notice, the identified hazard is: The recalled units are the Blason Turbo Style model 4030 electric hand-held hair dryers without an immersion protection device. These units have a pistol-style grip and a black plastic casing with a two-prong power cord labeled, in part, "Blason Turbo Style Mod. 4030. 110V/60HZ/1500W." Hazards: Some of these hair dryers do not have an immersion protection device on the power cord and could present a serious electrocution hazard, if dropped in water.
