Why it was recalled
According to the RAPEX notice, the identified hazard is: The solders in the product have an excessive concentration of lead (measured value: up to 52 % by weight). The plastic material of the cable has an excessive concentration of bis(2-ethylhexyl) phthalate (DEHP), dibutyl phthalate (DBP) and short chain chlorinated paraffins (SCCPs) (measured values: up to 1.45 %, 0.28 % and 2.6 % by weight, respectively).
