According to the CPSC notice, the identified hazard is: The recall involves five models of Compound Crossbows: Outfitter XB340 Compound Crossbow with model number AFB8959340 Fred Bear F340 Compound Crossbow with model number AFB8949350 Fred Bear F325 Compound Crossbow with model number AFB8949325 Fred Bear F300+ Compound Crossbow with model number AFB8949301 Fred Bear F300 Compound Crossbow model number AFB8949300. The model name is written on the outside of the bow's bottom limb. The model number is written on the product manual. Hazards: The triggers on these crossbows could fire when the safety mechanism is moved from "safe" to "fire" position without pulling the trigger. Bystanders could be unintentionally hit by an arrow fired by these bows.
