Why it was recalled

According to the CPSC notice, the identified hazard is: The charger holds two AA or AAA batteries, is silver colored and has a sticker on the top which says "Digital Concepts" and "Compact Travel Charger". This recall involves item numbers CH-1600S and CH-1600-RS which are identified with the date code MID#: 0801110. Both numbers can be found on the white label on the underside of the charger. Also on the underside are three screws and a retractable power plug. Hazards: The plastic holding the screws can break, causing the screws to come loose and the casing to separate. This can expose energized components, exposing users to electrocution or electric shock.
