Why it was recalled
According to the RAPEX notice, the identified hazard is: Due to the material used, the caps on the vane inside the vacuum pump may wear prematurely and could become stuck between the vane and the vacuum pump housing.Consequently, the caps may damage the vane and other components inside the pump, failing to supply vacuum to the brake booster.As a result, the brake performance could be suddenly reduced without prior warning, increasing the risk of an accident. The product does not comply with the Regulation on the approval and market surveillance of motor vehicles and their trailers, and of systems, components and separate technical units intended for such vehicles.
