Reported risk: Due to inappropriate water proof structure of the front deck water can ingress into the wiper motor. Water accumulated around the air breather hole might enter into the wiper motor when the motor is cooling down after operation. As a result the internal part of the front wiper motor may rust and seize In the worst case the wiper motor may not operate. Remedy: The waterproof fabric has been introduced to the air breather cap since 10/01/2014 for RHD wiper motors. Check which type of breather cap is fitted and replace with new motor if the latest waterproof type is not fitted.
