Reported risk: When a driver sequentially performs a quick gear shift down (high rpm 6th to 5th to 4th gear etc)during high speed driving (high engine load) the engine ECU can judge the engine to run in overrun condition. As a result to avoid engine damage the ECU will turn off the engine by stopping the fuel supply and closing the throttle. Remedy: Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected to re-programme the engine ECU.
