The driver will be informed of the defect by the illumination of a warning lamp on the dashboard. If ignored then this will result in longer than expected stopping distances. Remedy: Recall the vehicles that are likely to be affected and visually inspect the front brake hoses reinforcement and protection. The brake hoses if worn will be replaced.
