Reported risk: Issue:
On certain motorhomes, the propane (LP) hose for the generator may not have been installed properly. As a result, the hose could contact the generator's exhaust and melt.
Safety Risk:
A propane hose that melts can create the risk of a fire.
Corrective Actions:
To reduce the safety risk, Thor Motor Coach advises you not to use the generator until the recall repairs have been completed. If you need to use the generator, Thor Motor Coach recommends that you inspect it for hoses or wiring harnesses contacting the exhaust every time before use. Thor Motor Coach will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your motorhome to a dealership to secure the propane hose and install a heat shield. Any damaged parts will be replaced.
