Reported risk: Issue:
On certain transit buses, the O-ring for the fuel management module could fail and cause a compressed natural gas (CNG) leak. If this happens, the gas detection alarm could cause the engine to shut down.
Note: This recall only affects buses equipped with a CNG engine.
Safety Risk:
A sudden loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. A bus that is disabled could result in a transfer of passengers in an uncontrolled environment, which may create a risk of injury.
Corrective Actions:
Nova Bus will notify owners by mail and provide you with instructions for how to replace the O-ring in the fuel management module.
