Reported risk: Issue:
On certain garbage trucks, the high-voltage battery for the side loader may not have been manufactured properly and could fail. If this happens, the high-voltage battery could short circuit.
Note: This recall only affects trucks equipped with an Ecotuned high-voltage battery.
Safety Risk:
A short circuit in the high-voltage battery can create a fire risk, even while the truck is parked and turned off.
Corrective Actions:
BEV will notify owners by mail and arrange for a service team to replace the high-voltage battery for the side loader.
