Reported risk: Issue:
On a small number of trucks, the recall repairs completed by a Ford dealer during recall 23S37 (Transport Canada recall no. 2023-406) may not have been done correctly. As a result, a second repair is required.
Under certain conditions, the driver and/or passenger window automatic reversal system may not detect an obstruction when the window is closing. If this happens, the window(s) may not automatically stop and reverse when there's something blocking the window.
Safety Risk:
A window that doesn't stop and reverse could pinch a person and create a risk of injury.
Corrective Actions:
Ford will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the driver and passenger door module software.
