Reported risk: Issue:
On certain school buses, the brake caliper mounting bolts may not have been tightened properly. As a result, the bolts could loosen and detach, causing reduced braking.
Note: This recall only affects school buses equipped with air brakes.
Safety Risk:
Reduced braking can cause an extended stopping distance and increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective Actions:
International Motors will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your school bus to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace or tighten the brake caliper bolts.
