Reported risk: Issue:
On certain trucks, a software problem could cause the electronic stability control (ESC) system not to work. As a result, the vehicles may not meet certain requirements of Canadian regulations.
Note: This problem would cause warning lights for the antilock braking system (ABS), ESC, adaptive cruise control (ACC), and forward collision warning (FCW) to appear on the instrument panel.
Safety Risk:
An electronic stability control system that doesn't work could increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective Actions:
FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your truck to a dealership to update the antilock braking system (ABS) control module software.
