Reported risk: Issue:
On certain vehicles, an electrical problem could cause the high-voltage battery pack to de-energize. If this happens, there could be a sudden loss of power to the wheels. This problem could also cause the parking brake to apply suddenly while driving.
Note: This recall only affects certain electric vehicles built on a Ford E-450 chassis.
Safety Risk:
A loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, a parking brake that self-applies while driving could increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective Actions:
Morgan Olson will notify the owners by mail and provide instructions for how to inspect and replace the fuse box and connector. The company will also update the vehicle software.
