Reported risk: Issue:
On a small number of fire trucks, the wrong relay valve may have been installed during production and could cause the parking brake not to apply. If this happens, the fire truck could move when it's parked. This problem could also cause the vehicle not to meet the requirements of Canadian regulations.
Safety Risk:
A parked vehicle that moves suddenly could increase the risk of an injury or a crash.
Corrective Actions:
KME will notify owners by mail and will arrange for an inspection of the relay valve. It will be replaced, if necessary.
