Reported risk: Issue:
On certain snowmobiles, the brake line may be routed incorrectly. As a result, the brake line could be damaged by contact with the brake rotor. If this happens, brake fluid could leak and cause reduced braking.
Safety Risk:
Reduced braking can cause increased stopping distances and create the risk of a crash.
Corrective Actions:
Arctic Cat will notify owners by mail and provide you with instructions for how to inspect and re-route the brake line. If the brake line is damaged or if you would like help to inspect and re-route it, you may schedule an appointment at an Arctic Cat dealership. To reduce the safety risk, Arctic Cat advises not to use your snowmobile until the recall repairs have been completed.
