Reported risk: Issue:
On certain snowmobiles, the primary (drive) clutch could fail. If this happens, the clutch or pieces of the clutch could separate from the vehicle.
Note: This recall only affects snowmobiles with a Patriot 9R engine.
Safety Risk:
Clutch parts that separate from the snowmobile could hit a person and create a risk of injury.
Corrective Actions:
Polaris will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your snowmobile to a dealership to replace the primary clutch and install a clutch guard. Polaris advises not to use your snowmobile until the recall repairs are completed.
