Reported risk: Issue:
In certain situations, the braking system could apply too much force to the brake rotors. If this happens, the brake rotors could crack and suddenly cause reduced braking.
Note: This recall only affects vehicles equipped with carbon ceramic matrix brakes.
Safety Risk:
Reduced braking can cause an extended stopping distance and increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective Actions:
FCA Canada will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your vehicle to a dealership to update the brake system module (BSM) software.
Verify each fact at the issuing agency before acting. Recall scope, affected lots, and remediation instructions may be updated by the agency after our last sync.
