Reported risk: Issue: Certain RV trailers were built with a missing tube above the axle hangers. As a result, there may not be enough tire clearance under certain loading conditions, and a tire could contact the slide room adjustment bolt. This could cause damage to a tire and result in a tire failure. Note: This recall only affects certain Columbus CMF299RL fifth-wheel models. Safety Risk: A tire failure could cause a loss of control and result in a crash. Corrective Actions: Forest River will notify owners by mail and advise you to take your RV trailer to dealership to install the missing tube between the axle hanger and bottom of the frame I-beam.
