Reported risk: Issue:
On certain motorcycles, the right-side engine crankcase cover could leak oil onto the exhaust pipe and/or the rear tire.
Safety Risk:
An oil leak onto the rear tire could affect handling and control of the motorcycle. This could increase the risk of a crash. Additionally, oil that leaks onto an exhaust pipe can create a fire risk.
Corrective Actions:
Honda will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorcycle to a Honda motorcycle dealership to replace the right-side engine crankcase cover.
