On a small number of digger derricks with a dual pole rack system, a weld could be missing on the rear pole rack. As a result, the rack could crack and cause the pole and rack to drop in height.
Safety Risk:
A pole and rack that drop could create a risk of injury.
Corrective Actions:
Altec Industries will notify owners by mail and instruct you to contact Altec Service to inspect the rear pole rack mounting plate, and repair any missing welds at no charge.
