Reported risk: Issue:
On certain side-by-side UTVs, the bracket for the electric power steering (EPS) motor may not have been installed correctly. As a result, the steering shaft could break at the base of the steering column assembly and cause a loss of steering.
Safety Risk:
A loss of steering control could create the risk of a crash.
Corrective Actions:
Kubota advises that you should not drive your UTV until this recall inspection is completed. Kubota will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealership to inspect the mounting of the EPS motor and steering shaft. The dealer will replace the mounting bolts and washers, or replace the EPS motor and universal joint, as required.
