Reported risk: Issue:
On a small number of buses, the wrong seat belt may have been installed on the driver's seat. Instead of a 3-point seat belt, a 2-point seat belt (lap belt only) was installed. This type of seat belt may not properly protect the driver in a crash.
Safety Risk:
A seat belt that does not properly protect a driver in a crash could cause an increased risk of injury.
Corrective Actions:
Prevost will notify owners by mail and provide instructions for how to replace the driver's seat.
