Reported risk: Issue:
On certain RV trailers, a rubber cover was not installed on the 12-V mini-breaker for the slide-out. As a result, the electrical studs on the breaker are exposed and could contact nearby ducting. This could cause a short circuit or electrical arcing (sparks).
Safety Risk:
A short circuit or electrical arcing could create the risk of a fire or injury.
Corrective Actions:
Heartland will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your trailer to a dealership to inspect, and if necessary, install the missing rubber cover on the 12-V mini-breaker.
