Reported risk: Issue:
On certain vehicles, the upper tether anchorages for child seats may not be properly welded to the second-row seatback. As a result, the child seat tether strap could detach in a crash.
Safety Risk:
A child seat that is not properly secured could increase the risk of injury in a crash or a sudden stop.
Corrective Action:
Nissan will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer to inspect the welds for the child seat tether anchorages on the second-row seats. If the anchorages are not properly welded, the seatbacks will be replaced.
