Reported risk: Issue: Under certain driving conditions, a fault in the power steering system could cause reduced power assist when the lane following assist (LFA) system is used. This can cause a sudden change in steering feel and an increase in steering effort. Note: This problem only affects certain models equipped with a 2.5 L T-GDI engine. Safety Risk: A sudden change in steering effort could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Action: Kia Canada will notify owners by mail and instruct you to bring your vehicle to a dealer to update the motor driven power steering system (MDPS) software.
