Reported risk: Issue: On certain C and E-Class convertible models, the head restraints on the rear seats may not have been properly assembled. As a result, the head restraints may not latch properly, and could move or detach from the seat in a crash. Safety Risk: Head restraints that move or detach in a crash could increase the risk of an injury. Corrective Action: Mercedes-Benz will contact owners by mail and instruct you to take your car to a dealer to inspect and replace the rear seat head restraints, as required. To reduce the safety risk, Mercedes-Benz recommends that you should remove the rear seat head restraints and not use the rear seats until the recall repairs are completed.
