Reported risk: This recall was replaced by Transport Canada Recall No. 2021-092.
Issue:
Certain tires were built without enough rubber in the shoulder slot area of the tire tread. As a result, cracks could start forming in the slot or base area of the tread. This could cause a tire vibration and/or abnormal noise. If you continue to drive with this problem, the tread could separate from the tire and cause it to fail.
Note: This problem only affects tires with date codes between 2920 and 3220.
Safety Risk:
A tire failure could increase the risk of a crash.
Corrective Actions:
Cooper Tires will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle or tires to an authorized dealer to replace the tires.
