Reported risk: Issue:
On certain travel trailers, the power distribution panel wiring may not be connected correctly. As a result, the power cord may be back-fed with electricity when the generator is running.
Note: This problem only affects trailers equipped with the generator prep option.
Safety Risk:
A power cord that is back-fed with electricity could create a risk of electrocution or a fire.
Corrective Actions:
Forest River will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your travel trailer to a dealer to correct the wiring to the power transfer switch. Forest River recommends that you should not use your generator until the recall repairs are completed.
