On certain motorcycles, the wiring for the horn may be routed incorrectly. As a result, the brake hose could be damaged by contact with the wiring. This could cause a brake fluid leak and result in reduced brake performance.

Reduced brake performance can cause a loss of control and create the risk of a crash.
Corrective Actions:
Yamaha will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your motorcycle to a dealer to re-route the wiring for the horn away from the brake hose. Yamaha advises you not to drive your motorcycle until the recall repairs have been completed.
