Reported risk: Issue:
On certain buses, the brightness of the lights for the dashboard controls and indicators cannot be adjusted. Canadian regulations require an adjustment for the brightness of these lights.
Safety Risk:
During nighttime operation, if the lights for the controls and indicators are too bright, a driver’s vision could be affected. This could create an increased risk of a crash.
Corrective Actions:
Prevost will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their vehicle to a Prevost service center to install a controller for adjusting the brightness of the lights for the controls and indicators.
