Reported risk: Issue:
Certain vans were built with the wrong type of glass in one or both of the rear-side windows. Tempered glass was used in place of laminated glass. As a result, the vehicles may not meet the ejection mitigation requirements of the Canadian regulations.
Safety Risk:
Vans built with incorrect side window glass could create a risk of ejection and injury in a rollover or side-impact crash.
Corrective Actions:
The company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their van to a dealer to replace the tempered window glass with laminated glass.
