Reported risk: Issue:
On certain cars, the left-front (driver) door may have been made incorrectly. As a result, it may not meet the minimum strength requirements of Canadian regulations for side impact protection.
Safety Risk:
A door that does not meet side impact requirements could increase the risk of injury in a crash.
Corrective Actions:
The company will notify owners by mail and instruct them to take their car to a dealer to inspect the left-front door. If the upper intrusion bracket is split, the door will be replaced.
