Reported risk: On certain hopper-bottom trailers, the rivets that secure the grab handle to the rear corner post of the lead trailer may not be of sufficient strength. If an operator were use the grab handle to assist in climbing up the trailer, the rivets could break, causing the handle to detach and creating a fall hazard with the risk of injury. Dealers will replace the rivets with new, stronger stainless steel rivets.
