Reported risk: On certain vehicles, the spring-actuated parking brake may have been improperly assembled. This could result in an internal air leak or a complete separation of the parking brake from the service brake chamber, either of which would cause a loss of braking on the affected wheel assembly. This could cause a sudden, unexpected increase in stopping distance, increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will inspect and replace affected brake chamber assemblies.
