Reported risk: Certain vehicles were built with a manual park release (MPR) cover that may not conform to Canada Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (CMVSS) 114 - Theft Protection and Rollaway Prevention. The MPR could be accessed without the aid of a tool, contrary to the requirements of the standard. Unintentional activation of the MPR could result in inadvertent vehicle movement, which could increase the risk of property damage and/or injury. Correction: Dealers will replace the manual park release cover with one that requires the use of a tool for removal.
