Reported risk: On certain vehicles, an assembly error may cause the throttle plate to stick in the open position after a driver has released the hand-operated throttle. This could cause the engine to operate unintentionally at full power. If this occurs, the driver could lose control of the vehicle, creating the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will repair the throttle assembly by adding a nut that was missed in manufacturing.
