Reported risk: On certain vehicles equipped with factory-installed methane detectors, the sensor wiring circuit protection may be inadequate for the wiring gauge. The wiring harness may also be improperly routed. As a result, a short could occur and the circuit protection could fail to protect the electrical system from damage, potentially resulting in a fire. This could increase the risk of injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Sensor wiring routing will be inspected and modified, and a 3 amp fuse installed in place or the original 10 amp fuse.
