Reported risk: On certain vehicles equipped with the Distronic Plus radar brake assist, the Electronic Stability Program (ESP) software may malfunction. This could result in increased brake force application being required, which could increase stopping distances and increasing the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will update the ESP control unit with new software.
